Two years in the Cisco CCIE incubator – a programme for future network experts with the CCNA and CCNP courses, an internship at a partner company and monthly lectures at Cisco in Prague. Alongside my studies I worked as a technical consultant at Simac Technik ČR: implementation, design and management of network and security infrastructure.

Started on IT security and governance – internet banking security, fraud detection, ISO 27001 – and moved to large strategy and transformation projects for telecom operators and financial institutions, usually as the technical expert running the PMO and presenting to steering committees up to board level.

• O2, T-Mobile, Vodafone – three-way network sharing feasibility
• PPF – commercial due diligence for O2
• T-Mobile – outsourcing of build, planning and operations, a two-year transformation
• Major Czech bank – internet banking security

Followed by a year at O2 Czech Republic before moving to PPF.
